Welcome to DevTube. The photography showcase channel. This week we are featuring... PoetryOD!

:iconpoetryod:

See the review here or in any of our featurers journals. To see the list of people who post the DevTube Review just click here.

DevTube was started in late 2008 in an attempt to bring more exposure to great photographers by Evil-e33 and Matthew-T after a long discussion in their home haunt :#APNChat:. They were quickly joined by many volunteers of people who wished to feature the review in their journals, The Featurers, and people who wished to help write the reviews, The Staff. If you would like to feature the review on your journal, you can! Just comment on this journal entry so we can add you to our subscriber list and you will be notified each week! If that's not involved enough for you, you can always join the DevTube team by clicking here to see how..

We have reviewed many photographers since our opening, you can find our archive DevTube here which will help you see all of our previous reviews, helpfully submitted as news articles as well as journal entries so they wouldn't get lost, so that they could be archived, and so that the reviewed photographer could keep a copy of their glowing review. If you spot a photographer that you think deserves some attention, why not suggest them to us, we will consider each suggestion carefully. Remember that we only feature one person a week (to make sure they get maximum exposure!) so it may take a while to get to your suggestion. Remember to check the archive in case they've already been featured!

As well as reviewing wonderful works sometimes we go that extra mile and suggest the works we see for a Daily Deviation, one of DeviantARTs most sought after recognitions. To see our list of accepted Daily Deviation suggestions, just click here.

If that doesn't answer all your questions about DevTube then you can try our handy About Us page or our Frequently Asked Questions. If you have any other queries feel free to note this account (DevTube) or the founders of it (Evil-e33 and Matthew-T) with your note titled DevTube Question. Your question might even find its way onto our FAQs if we think its helpful!

That's all from us, have a good week!

Matthew-T

:bulletblack: Position: Founder / Management
:bulletblack: Name: Matt
:bulletblack: Biography: Matthew-T is a photographer living in Oregon who loves to hike with his camera in search of photographs to take. He loved the DeviantART community and would not trade it for anything. He can be found on Skype (thank you Evil-e33 for getting me addicted :shakefist: and can always be found in dA Chats (:#APNChat: is a safe bet). He dislikes talking about himself in third person so I will continue explaining the birth of DevTube in first person:

One day while chatting in :#APNChat: with fellow deviants Evil-e33 and VertexBase, we were discussing the unfairness of exposure on deviantART. We knew that nobody was at blame but felt as if it was time to contribute our efforts towards promoting unexposed deviants who showcase inspiring galleries but yet have to be discovered by the majority of deviantART. This was the birth of DevTube! It took a while to get it afoot but with the help of PoetryOD we were able to kick it into shape over a couple of days (thank you Kate, we couldn't of done this without you!). We hope to keep DevTube running and all support is appreciated! Thank you :)

PoetryOD

:bulletblack: Position: Editing / News Articles
:bulletblack: Name: Stitches The Cat / Kate
:bulletblack: Biography: PoetryOD lives in a treehouse with a family of squirrels. She powers a laptop device to use deviantART with by making the squirrels run through complicated tunnels around the tree to get into the treehouse. The fur against inner tube friction causes kinetic energy which she uses as power. She likes nuts, grooming and sharpening her teeth. Her favourite photographers include Evil-e33, alsebka, jdrainville, and kalmee.
